A family comparing tutoring may also have questions about a school plan, current classroom supports or a district resource. Those questions belong with different people. Knowing which school system serves your child helps you find the right official information.
Cabarrus and Kannapolis district resources
- Cabarrus County Schools: Start with its Exceptional Children department page for district information and resource navigation.
- Kannapolis City Schools: Use its separate parent information and resources page for that school system’s information.
These are different school systems. Confirm your child’s school and responsible district; a nearby city or county name is not enough to determine which resource applies. If your child attends a charter, private or other school, ask that school for its relevant contacts.

Discuss a specific academic goal
Bring an example of the reading or math work your child finds difficult. Our reading page helps distinguish word-reading and comprehension questions. Our math page considers concepts, language and multi-step work. For a student with dyslexia or ADHD, ask about the proposed educator’s experience with those academic needs.
Our tutors are certified in special education. Ask how the educator would identify a starting skill, check understanding and communicate progress. Before starting, confirm the match, availability, fees and practical arrangements.
